Wood Residential Services, a division of the largest Real Estate developer in the nation, has an immediate opening for a highly experienced Cultural Development Manager/Event Planner for the Ellicott area.

The Cultural Development Manager/Event Planner will be responsible for coordinating programs for the property and it's residents. This will include building partnerships in the community, planning and executing events and reporting on such programs.

DUTIES

  • This position reports to the General Manager and is in support of all sales, marketing coordination, and lease-up activities for Alchemy by Alta.
  • Supports the GM in developing the overall community programming vision and game plans
  • Implements community programming activity and activates community and amenity space as outlined by the western regional executive team's creative direction
  • Communicates closely with GM and western regional executive team on identifying, engaging, and contracting cultural stakeholders within the community
  • Responsible for space, schedule, and operations coordination between the on-site team and contracted cultural partners
  • Responsible for coordination of all details between cultural partners, Alchemy, residents, and any additional services needed provided by WRS and property management teams (layout, decorations, janitorial, security, A/V equipment, catering, invitations, RSVP management, etc.)
  • Coordinates with GM to ensure consistency of programming in line with target demographic preference
  • Coordinates with GM on approach for marketing programming and cultural activity
  • Coordinates with GM, Marketing Director, VP and Printer/Designer (if applicable) on execution of marketing strategies and materials
  • Responsible for implementing reporting systems in coordination with GM and RPM to capture resident reaction and satisfaction of community programming
  • Responsible for subsequently altering community programming based on resident feedback
  • Coordinates purchase of necessary equipment and materials with Development, Construction, and/or VP for in-house programming use and keeps inventory of all equipment
  • Develop code of conduct for anchor cultural partners and individual contractors with Area Vice President in interacting with residents and prospects, distribute said code and ensure adherence
  • Develop GFP language for property management team with GM, VP and distribute said language
  • Facilitate regular communication between varying combinations of the following parties: GM, Area & Sr. Vice President, Asset Manager, SVP Marketing, cultural partners
  • Coordinates and monitors event timeliness and ensures deadlines are met
  • Secures sponsorships
  • Prepares presentations
  • Maintains a prominent presence at each event including: set-up, hosting duties, quality assurance, and strike

QUALIFICATIONS

Combining confidence and creativity, our cultural development manager will use programs to reach out to attract new residents and well as retain existing residents. This positions also requires:

  • 3+ years of prior event/program planning experience
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain community partners
  • Event/program marketing experience
  • Excellent communication skills demonstrating verbal and written expression, active listening and ability to maintain interpersonal relationships as well as accept feedback
  • Ability to identify strengths & weaknesses of a program
  • Prioritization & organization of time and customers
  • Experience operating computer systems, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours including early evenings, weekends and holidays
